Ray Ceo has over 35 years of professional experience as a financial aid administrator. He began his financial aid career in 1978 at AFSA Data Corporation, a Perkins loan servicing agency. In 1984 Ray took a position with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as a Financial aid Counselor. In 1989 he became financial aid director at Prescott College and then provided default prevention and general financial aid institutional support while serving as the Western Region director for EdFund. Throughout his career, Ray has served in positions including director, compliance officer, auditor, trainer and default prevention manager. As a director, he has managed small and large financial aid offices with both manual and highly automated operations. Ray has extensive experience working with institutions that offer financial aid in a variety of academic calendar formats.

In his role as a consultant, Ray has assisted clients in responding to program reviews and audits. He has expertise with the U.S. Department of Education’s requirements for File Reconstruction. He has helped institutions put the necessary processes and procedures in place to be released from Heightened Cash Monitoring (HCM).

Ray has proficiency using The College Board’s PowerFAIDS system as well as Ellucian’s Banner and Colleague systems and CampusVue. He has also supported clients that utilized their own “institutionally-managed” and hybrid systems. Ray has decades of experience using the U.S. Department of Education’s EDExpress software and suite of financial aid administrator platforms such as the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) system, FAA-Access, Direct Loan Tools and the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) .

Ray has been active in the financial aid profession throughout his career, holding appointed and elected leadership positions at the state and regional levels and has been the recipient of several Financial Aid leadership awards.

Mr. Ceo received a Bachelor of Science from Embry-Riddle University.
