Student Business Services Consultant for Interim Staffing
FAS Student Business Services is seeking a business officer, with extensive experience in higher education student account administration at a managerial level, to join our team and fulfill interim staffing engagements. Interim staffing is intermittent work that is full-time for the length of the engagement. Relocation is not necessary. Ability to work remotely and flexibility for weekly travel (at client’s request) are required. Successful applicants must have:
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Comprehensive knowledge of student account activities including billing and collections of tuition, fees and other charges; disbursement and refund processes; cashiering; internal controls; reconciliation; loan servicing; vendor management; e-commerce; and Title IV, PCI and other relevant compliance measures
- Ability to work in diverse and complex environments with campus administrators and their staff including those in the business office, financial aid, registrar, enrollment management, auxiliary services, and others
- Management and organizational skills with the ability to work independently or as a team member
- Functional knowledge of one or more of the widely-used ERP systems—Banner, Colleague, PeopleSoft, Jenzabar and/or CAMS—helpful but not required
- Prior professional experience of at least 10 years at the manager or director level in student business services (i.e., bursar, student financial services, student accounts)
- A bachelor’s degree (an advanced degree is highly desirable)
Compensation is commensurate with experience. Strongest preference will be given to those with recent experience at a public or private nonprofit institution.
