William “Bill” Henderson

Bill Henderson has over 40 years of student financial aid experience in both two-year and four-year public and four-year private institutions. Bill came to FAS in 2023. As a consultant, he supports financial aid offices across the country. He provides Interim Staffing, Consulting, and Assessment services to improve business processes, strengthen compliance efforts and enhance the student experience.

His previous experience includes working as a financial aid director/officer at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, Carthage College, Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor, and Milwaukee Area Technical College. He also served as a senior marketing consultant/trainer for Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation. Bill is experienced with several financial aid software systems, including Ellucian Banner, Ellucian Colleague, College Board PowerFAIDS, along with the U.S. Department of Education’s suite of applications and website for administering Federal Student Aid.

Bill has been an active member of the Wisconsin Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (WASFAA), the Illinois Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (ILASFAA), the Midwest Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (MASFAA), and the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA). Throughout his career, Bill has served on various committees and projects. He was the recipient of the MASFAA Leadership Award as well as WASFAA’s Outstanding Service and Special Recognition Awards. He has made countless presentations at the WASFAA, ILASFAA, and MASFAA conferences over the years.

Bill holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
