Tarik J. Boyd

Tarik has over 15 years of student financial aid experience in proprietary, two-year public, four-year public, and four-year private institutions. Tarik came to FAS in 2021. As a consultant, he supports financial aid offices across the country. He provides Interim Staffing, Consulting, Compliance Reviews, and Assessment services to improve business processes strengthen compliance efforts and enhance student satisfaction.
Tarik currently serves as the Executive Director of Financial Aid at Chattahoochee Technical College in Marietta, GA. Prior to joining Chattahoochee Technical College, his previous experiences included tenure with Morehouse College, where he was the Director of Financial Aid, for 3.5 years before joining Morehouse College, he was the Associate Director of Financial Aid at Norfolk State University. The First 8 years of his career were at ECPI University where he sat in several roles, ending with Campus Director of Financial Assistance.
Tarik is experienced with several financial aid software systems, including Ellucian Banner, Ellucian (Datatel) Colleague, Campus Vue, and the U.S. Department of Education’s suite of applications and website for administering Federal Student Aid.
Tarik has served as NASFAA’s Task Force Chair on Implicit Bias in Financial Aid Policies. He was Secretary of the Southern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SASFAA) and President of the Virginia Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (VASFAA). He has made countless presentations at NASFAA, SASFAA, VASFAA, and other state conferences over the years. He has been active on many committees and held various leadership roles within the associations.
Tarik received his Associate of Applied Science in Human Resource Management from Bryant & Stratton College, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from ECPI University, and a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
