Nadege Joseph

Nadege has over 15 years of experience in student financial aid, with prior experience at four-year public and nonprofit institutions.

Throughout her career, she’s held positions at Coastal Carolina University, Seton Hall University, and The New School where she managed Satisfactory Academic Progress reviews, Federal Work Study and financial aid operations.

During her tenure as the Associate Director of Financial Aid Systems and Operations at The New School, Nadege specialized in optimizing business processes related to the awarding and disbursement of federal, state, and institutional financial aid. This included using her technical skills to write algorithmic packaging and budgeting rules, creating custom routine and ad-hoc reports designed to identify compliance risks, and redesigning/automating process flows to prevent non-compliance.

In her current role as a Senior Data Analyst of Institutional Research and Decision Support, Nadege’s work continues to rely on her strong knowledge of financial aid. Nadege’s responsibilities include completing annual federal reporting surveys and performing data mining aimed at determining the efficacy of institutional aid awarding models. Her expertise in working with student data continues to be instrumental in the decision-making processes for leadership in the Enrollment Management, Academic Planning, and Finance divisions.

Nadege’s experience with Ellucian Banner and the Department of Education software and websites has made her a great resource in the areas of system implementation, new year setup, and processing aid. She frequently collaborates with IT departments to automate processes such as the importing and exporting of financial aid data and sending student communications. She also specializes in creating custom reports and dashboards, using reporting tools, such as Tableau, to meet the institution’s specific needs.

Nadege holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Rutgers University and a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management from The New School.
