Kathryn L. Hill
Vice President of Consulting Services
Kathryn Hill has worked in the financial aid profession for over 38 years. She began her career at Illinois State University, and subsequently worked at Northwestern University before joining Financial Aid Services (FAS) in 1994.
As FAS vice president, Kathryn is an integral part of the FAS team. She manages the entire FAS consulting staff, oversees all projects, assists consultants as needed and manages a comprehensive engagement schedule.
She has extensive experience managing complex projects, supervising personnel and overseeing the effective use of diverse software applications including Regent FAMS, SunGard Banner, Datatel Colleague, College Board PowerFAIDS, SunGard SIS/Plus, Oracle PeopleSoft, U.S. Department of Education EDExpress and the federal electronic systems.
Kathryn has consulted for several financial aid offices including those at Yale University, Loyola University of Chicago, Morris Brown College and East Carolina University. In 2006, she served as interim director of financial aid at Tulane University after Hurricane Katrina. During this time, she worked closely with the U.S. Department of Education to ensure students continued to receive financial aid assistance during the unprecedented circumstances caused by the hurricane.
Her professional association involvement has included extensive committee participation and representation of graduate and professional student issues for the Graduate and Professional Financial Aid Services Council and Assembly (GAPSFAS) as well as serving on program committees for the Illinois Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (ILASFAA) and the Midwest Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (MASFAA). She is a long-time member of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA).
Kathryn received a Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University.
