Financial Aid Services (FAS), an Atlanta-based management consulting firm that helps colleges and universities optimize their financial aid and student business operations, has appointed Gary Byers as Associate Vice President of Consulting Services. This appointment is effective February 1, 2022.

Byers has served FAS in several capacities. His background as a campus administrator coupled with a vast understanding of the regulatory landscape makes him ideal for this newly created role. Byers’ work as a senior consultant with FAS has included helping institutions address significant compliance issues and reengineer financial aid operations.

Kathy Hill, FAS Vice President of Consulting, describes Byers as a thought leader. “Gary understands how administering financial aid is pivotal to every institution’s success and can easily explain to senior leaders how a well-run financial aid office helps them achieve their goals,” said Hill.
