Joyce Farmer
Senior Consultant
Joyce Farmer has worked in the financial aid profession over 30 years. As a senior consultant with FAS, she has helped numerous colleges and universities improve their financial aid operations. She has conducted many financial aid office assessments and file review audits and helped colleges establish procedures for complying with state and federal student policies and regulations. Joyce has also assisted institutions with overall business process analysis and planning in advance of ERP system implementations and has experience with multiple financial aid software packages, including Ellucian Colleague, Ellucian Banner, and the U.S. Department of Education’s EDExpress, and suite Federal Student Aid (FSA) systems and platforms.
Prior to joining FAS, Joyce managed the admissions and financial aid operations for Drew University in Madison, NJ. Joyce has been active in state, regional and national professional organizations. She has served as president of the New Jersey Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NJASFAA) and was appointed by the New Jersey Association of Independent Colleges and Universities to serve on the New Jersey Higher Education Student Assistance Authority’s Financial Aid Advisory Group. She has also served on the National Association of Independent College and Universities’ Commission on Financing Higher Education and the Research Committee of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA).
Joyce received a Bachelor of Arts from Montclair State University in Upper Montclair, NJ and Masters of Business Administration at DeSales University in Center Valley, PA where she is also the Director of Financial Aid.
