Judy Cramer

Judy Cramer has over 30 years of student financial aid experience in a variety of settings, including two-year and four-year public institutions and the graduate/professional school sector. Judy joined FAS in 2020 after retiring from Salem State University. As a consultant, she provides Interim Staffing, Consulting, and Assessment services to improve business processes, strengthen compliance efforts, and enhance student satisfaction.
Judy is experienced with several financial aid and student information systems, including Ellucian Banner, Oracle PeopleSoft, and the U.S. Department of Education’s suite of applications and websites for administering Federal Student Aid. She is also proficient with several platforms for originating private student loans. She uses her in-depth regulatory knowledge to support campus-wide compliance efforts. Judy thrives at creating environments that combine compliant and efficient operations with student-centered customer service.
Judy has been active in state and regional financial aid associations, serving on committees and holding elected offices. Known by reputation for her ability to deliver complex topics in an easy-to-understand manner, Judy is a frequent conference presenter. She has served the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) as an active member for many years. Her professional involvement includes a 12-year tenure on the NASFAA Publications Editorial Board. Her work includes contributions to the “You’re The Director” Leadership Guide.
Judy received her Bachelor of Science in Political Science, along with a Certificate in Public Policy from the University of Massachusetts at Boston. She earned her Master of Education focused on Educational Leadership from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Judy is also certified as a Mediation Specialist.
