Julain Gunn Clarke is a financial aid professional with over a decade of experience. Beginning her career as a dedicated work-study student, Julain’s exceptional work ethic and expertise propelled her to the role of Director of Financial Aid where she administers federal and state aid for undergraduate and graduate students, chairs the SAP committee and contributes to transformative task forces across campus. Julain is dedicated to optimizing process efficiency within the financial aid office through training initiatives and the development of workflow mapping.
With proficiency in key areas such as verification, Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) monitoring, loan processing, award packaging, FISAP and IPEDS reporting, Julain is recognized for her meticulous attention to detail and efficiency. She is adept at navigating a variety of financial aid systems, including Ellucian Banner, Ellucian Campus Logic, College Board PowerFAIDS, Jenzabar, and the U.S. Department of Education’s suite of applications.
Julain has been an active member of the California Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (CASFAA), Alabama Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (AASFAA), Southern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SASFAA), and National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA).
In addition to her wealth of practical experience, Julain is committed to academic advancement. She holds a bachelor’s degree and is completing a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Neuroscience and Education at La Sierra University.
