Kianna has over seven years of higher education experience. Kianna started at FAS in 2024. Specializing in financial aid management and student support services, Kianna brings a wealth of expertise to her role as a financial aid consultant.
Kianna began her career as a financial aid counselor at Colorado Technical University (CTU) and obtained an MBA in Business Administration with a minor in Finance. Kianna is passionate about helping students overcome financial aid barriers to higher education.
Kianna is experienced with financial aid software systems, including Ellucian Colleague, Ellucian Banner, Peoplesoft, CAMS, PowerFaids, Jenzabar, CampusView, and the Department of Education applications and websites for administering Federal Student Aid. Kiana is highly proficient in performing verification, Return of Title IV Funds (R2T4) calculations, reviewing Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), processing federal and private loans, certifying military benefits, and packaging state, federal, and institutional awards. Throughout her career, Kianna has worked with various higher education institutions, including public and private institutions, community colleges, and medical and veterinary graduate institutions. Her experience spans multiple institutional types, sizes, and student populations, giving her a broad perspective on unique challenges and opportunities facing today’s higher education landscape.
She has two NASFAA credentials: Application Process and Return to Title IV Funds (R2T4).
She received her Bachelor of Science at Bradley University and her MBA from Colorado Technical University.
