Maureen McFarlane Anderson, FAAC®
Vice President of Consulting Services
Maureen Anderson has over 30 years of student financial aid experience in two-year and four-year public, public technical, and non-profit private institutions. Maureen came to FAS in 2021 as a consultant. In that role, she provided Consulting, Compliance Reviews, and Assessment services to improve business processes, strengthen compliance efforts, and enhance student satisfaction. In her newly appointed role as Vice President of Consulting Services, she is committed to leveraging over 30 years of invaluable experience in student financial aid to bring clients and prospects innovative solutions that address their immediate needs and propel them toward sustained success during an unprecedented industry shift.
Her previous experience includes financial aid leadership positions and served as the Dean of Enrollment Management where her oversight included the offices of Financial Aid, Admissions, Enrollment Services, Registrar, and Veterans Affairs.
Maureen is a National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) Certified Financial Aid Administrator®. In addition, she has earned multiple NASFAA Credentials. She has also served as a test question reviewer for the Certified Financial Aid Administrator and Gainful Employment Credential.
Maureen held leadership roles in the Florida Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (FASFAA), serving in various executive board positions, including two separate terms as FASFAA Vice President. In honor of her contribution, the association bestowed Maureen with a lifetime membership in FASFAA. Maureen has a robust professional development and training background having served in a variety of training roles.
Maureen received her Bachelor of Science in Business Education at the University of Central Florida and her Master of Business Administration from Stetson University. In addition, she completed the necessary coursework for a Doctor in Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education Administration at the University of Florida.
