Nakyta White

Nakyta White has over 20 years of student financial aid experience in both four-year public and four-year private institutions. Nakyta White came to FAS in March of 2022. As an independent consultant, she supports financial aid offices across the country. She provides Interim Staffing, Verification, and Packaging/Awarding services to improve business processes strengthen compliance efforts, and enhance student satisfaction.
Nakyta’s experience in financial aid started as a Work Study Student at Georgia SouthWestern State University. Her professional experience includes a total of 11 years of financial aid counseling at George Washington State University, University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and Walden University|Laureate Education, 5 years experience as an Assistant Director at Clayton State University, and almost a year as an Associate Director at Fort Valley State University.
Nakyta is experienced with several financial aid software systems, including Ellucian (Banner), College Board PowerFAIDS, CampusLogic, Blackbaud Award Management (Academic Works), the U.S. Department of Education’s suite of applications and website for administering Federal Student Aid as well as recent experience with Colleague since she’s been consulting with FAS.
Nakyta is active in both NASFAA and GASFAA and worked closely with previous GASFAA Presidents and Treasurers. She has actively served and made presentations at GASFAA.
Nakyta received her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology from Coppin State University.
