Robert “Bob” Covey-Robbins
Senior Consultant
Bob Covey-Robbins has over 25 years of financial aid experience. He has served in financial aid positions in two-year, four-year, public, and private institutions. Bob joined FAS in 2019. In his role as a consultant, he supports financial aid offices across the country. He provides Interim Staffing, Consulting, and Assessment services to improve business processes, strengthen compliance efforts, and enhance student satisfaction.
Prior to joining FAS, Bob served as an assistant vice chancellor of student financial services for City Colleges of Chicago (CCC). In this role, he supported CCC’s seven institutions and administered over $150 million in financial aid to the nearly 85,000 students they serve. He supervised large-scale financial aid operations and developed effective work teams. He led the system-wide implementation of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9’s Financial Aid Module.
Earlier in his career, Bob held leadership roles in financial aid at Broward College, Butler University, DeVry University, Ivy Tech Community College, North Central State College, and Purdue University.
Bob is experienced with several student administration systems including Oracle PeopleSoft, Ellucian Banner, Ellucian Colleague, as well as the U.S. Department of Education’s suite of applications and website for administering federal student aid.
In addition to his campus experience, Bob served as vice president of educational resources for a national non-profit organization that provided higher education financing, financial literacy, and repayment assistance to students and families throughout the country.
Bob is a member of several professional associations including the Midwest Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (MASFAA) and the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) from which he has earned NASFAA credentials.
Bob received his Bachelor of Science from Purdue University and a Master of Business Administration from University of Indianapolis.
