Sheryl Spivey is a financial aid professional with over 40 years of experience as a Director of Financial Aid, Managing Consultant and Consultant. Sheryl has worked at four-year public, private, and community colleges. She worked in consulting for over 10 years. She has held positions with the University of Minnesota, Central Michigan University, Howard University and Morehouse College.
Sheryl has provided consulting services on a wide range of management, regulatory compliance, and re-engineering issues. She served as lead facilitator of focus group sessions sponsored by the Department of Education with representatives from major institutions across the country. She has provided assistance in the re-engineering of the delivery system at major institutions. She has re-engineered services areas into one-stop shopping. She has successful administration in all aspects of financial aid programs for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. She also has significant experience in staff training and developing training materials and policy manuals. Also, successful team/cross team building.
During her career, she has served as President of the Mid-west Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (MASFAA) and Michigan Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators. She has also served on two award-winning conference committees for the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA).
Sheryl holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Morris Brown College and a Master of Art in Counseling from Atlanta University.
