Dr. Stephanie Sawyer is a Certified Financial Aid Administrator (FAACâ) with over 20 years of higher education experience. Dr. Sawyer began her career as a Financial Aid Officer at Hodges University in 2001. Over the years she has worked in several capacities of enrollment management including the Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Hodges University, the Director of Financial Aid at Fort Myers Technical College, the Director of Financial Aid and AVP of Enrollment Management at Albany State University, the Director of Financial Aid at Columbus State University and the Sr. Associate Director of Financial Systems and Compliance aid at the University of San Francisco.
Dr. Sawyer has a considerable amount of experience in all aspects of the institutional enrollment management funnel and as such, can work with Admissions and the Registrar to set up and complete packaging, awarding, disbursement, and reconciliation of federal, state, and institutional aid programs for nondegree programs, undergraduate programs, and graduate programs.
She is also highly proficient in Title IV compliance, training, performing professional judgement (PJ), verification, processing Return of Title IV Funds (R2T4), set-up, calculating and monitoring Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), processing loans, and packaging federal, state, and institutional aid. Dr Sawyer has experience as a super user with various financial aid systems, including Ellucian Banner, CAMS, and Datatel Colleague. She also has a wealth of knowledge in completing the FISAP, IPEDS, and several other required reports. She has served on the executive board of both state and regional associations and currently has active memberships in the Southern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SASFAA), the Western Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (WASFAA), and the California Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (CASFAA).
Dr. Sawyer holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Hodges University, a Master of Science in Human Resources Development and Administration and Education Specialist in K-12 Education Leadership from Barry University. She also holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Higher Education Leadership from Walden University.
