Ted Malone
Senior Consultant
Ted Malone has over 32 years of student financial aid experience in both two-year and four-year public and four-year private institutions. Ted came to Financial Aid Services (FAS) in 2018. As a consultant, he supports financial aid offices across the country. He provides Interim Staffing, Consulting and Assessment services to improve business processes, strengthen compliance efforts and enhance student satisfaction. His previous experience includes Purdue University where he was the executive director of financial aid. Previous to that he served at the University of Alaska Anchorage, Edmonds Community College, Glendale Community College (AZ), Grand Canyon University and Simpson University (CA).
Ted is experienced with several financial aid software systems, including Ellucian Banner, Ellucian Colleague, College Board PowerFAIDS and the U.S. Department of Education’s suite of applications and website for administering federal student aid. Ted has earned National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators NASFAA Credentials in Gainful Employment, Cash Management, Consumer Information, Administrative Capability, Professional Judgment, and Campus-Based Programs.
Ted served on NASFAA’s Board of Directors from 1999 to 2001 and has been active on many of the association’s committees. He was President of the Western Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (WASFAA), the Arizona Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (AASFAA), and the Alaska Association of student Financial Aid Administrators (ALASFAA). He has made countless presentations at NASFAA, WASFAA, Midwest Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (MASFAA), and other state conferences over the years.
Ted received both his Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Arts from Simpson University. He is a veteran of US Navy Submarine Service.
