Tysquan Meaders has over 8 years of student financial aid experience in both four-year public and four-year private institutions as well as graduate institutions. Tysquan Meaders came to FAS in 2023. As a consultant, he supports financial aid offices across the country. He provides Interim Staffing, Consulting, and Assessment services to improve business processes, strengthen compliance efforts and enhance the student experience.
His previous experience includes working as a senior financial aid advisor at the Huston- Tillotson University, Johnson C Smith University, Benedict College, University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. He also served as a senior consultant for The Kenaly Complement. Tysquan Meaders is experienced with several financial aid software systems, including Anthology, Jenzabar, College Board PowerFAIDS, along with the U.S. Department of Education’s suite of applications and website for administering Federal Student Aid.
Tysquan Meaders was an active member of Southern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SASFAA), South Carolina Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SCASFAA), National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA), and School Certifying Official (SCO) for Veterans Affairs. Throughout his career, Tysquan Meaders has served on various committees and projects.
Humbly beginning as a Federal Work Study student, Tysquan continued to soar in the world of financial aid. He went from a Financial Aid Specialist to a Senior Financial Aid Counselor with a vast range of newly acquired skills & experience acquired over time. Tysquan has served in intricate financial aid roles across many institutions. He has worked in both the private and public education sectors throughout his career.
